silence

"In silence we face and admit the gap between the depth of our being, which we consistently ignore, and the surface which is untrue to our own reality. We recognize the need to be at home with ourselves in order that we may go out to meet others, not just with a mask of affability, but with real commitment and authentic love.

That is the reason for choosing silence."

  1. Hello Beth !

So wonderful to have you back.

We do need to be at home with ourselves. And this is very difficult. We live in a cult of noise and distraction (per Fr. Matt Kelty). We (I) work very long days - with hardly the time to reflect on life, on God...so difficult.

Here is a pic of my class installation. I am at the foot of the crucifix, a bit to the right.

God bless - I look forward to more posts !

  2. Congratulations on your acolyte-ness, Brian! You're the one with the beard, right?

I don't know if I'm back or not. I'm over my head now with work, and don't see any reprieve in the near future!
