  1. Thanks for this. My son and his family live in Union, KY and I have been on and over the river a number of times. I hadn't known of th Hubbards before and will definitely explore some more.

    1. I hadn't known of them either and I grew up in KY - happened upon them through a Wendall Berry writing and then saw that Morgan Atkinson had made a film. I would like to know more about these people who follow a different drummer in our midst. They are like monks, or the Amish, but more independent. I'm thinking about getting the full 1 hour documentary and just showing it to some friends. Pass the story around.

    2. I was just at a friend's house and she brought out from her bedroom a painting of Harlan Hubbard. She is originally from Madison Indiana and knew all about Harlan!

    4. I ordered it last night, J. There are also a couple of books by Harlan and one by Wendall Berry. I'm going to start with the film. I do like Harlan Hubbard's art and have a feeling that I will respond more visually than intellectually.
