beautiful is the moment ...

"Beautiful is the moment in which we understand that we are no more than an instrument of God; we live only as long as God wants us to live; we can only do as much as God makes us able to do; we are only as intelligent as God would have us be."
- St. Oscar Romero

and all the destructive weather and you to
be shot in the heart and all the kids to be molested

    1. Hey bob -

nice to get your 2 cents.

that free will is a tricky thing
(is free will our will, or God's will?)
we are free to do whatever we want with our lives -
we can be bad or we can be mad
we can be good and we can be smart
      and still
storms come up and blow away lives in a flash
who can make any sense of it?

could it be that there is a bigger picture
      another way of knowing
and once we find our place
making sense of it is no longer
      part of the puzzle?

yep, I'd say that we are a bunch of dummies
and realizing that, we're halfway there.

    2. in other words, I find a comfort in Romero's words because I hear in them the reassurance that I don't have to be any more than I am. And perhaps especially, I don't have to worry about avoiding or fearing death.

  2. thankyou thankyou -

    i think one is responsible
    for there own salvation is
    that not free will -
or is free-will only what the Church
proclaims - suffering and death is certain
    regardless what ones belief -

    1. thankyou!

I think that about all we can do is say Yes, and accept the circumstances of our lives and who we are. Or resist, and go kicking to the end.

But we do get to "do it my way".

Either way, the end finally (and mercifully) finds us.

Not sure what "the Church" means anymore.

... and more blessings to you!

    2. bob - I have a friend, Nancy, who says that either we all go to heaven or we all don't go. I tend to lean that way too. Not sure about "personal" salvation. When you think about it, the highest thing a person can aspire to is love. And love will always give the other person what she has, whether it be a cloak or salvation.

      blessings & salvation.
