Bjork - Jesus Prayer

A video of John Tavener's 'Prayer of the Heart' which he wrote especially for Bjork (an Icelandic singer/songwriter). It is a stunning setting of the 'Jesus Prayer' - "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me".

    I first learned of this prayer from my Vedanta teacher, who advised me to read "The Way of a Pilgrim". I've used it many times since, sometimes I can remember vividly when and where, eventually it gets into your sleep.

    Icelandic is cool.

    Wonderful. Bjork's rendition of the prayer seems child-like, going back into time like the NASA advent photographs do, getting closer and closer to our origin.
